AVERA Consulting Inc. was founded in Calgary, AB in 1999 with a mandate to increase operational efficiencies by implementing IT-based Business Process Management solutions.

Over the years, AVERA shifted its focus towards Operational Excellence solutions, transferring Lean Manufacturing methodologies from Automotive into other industries.

Gaining hands-on operational experience in Aviation Logistics over more than a decade, AVERA gradually entered the Aerospace marketplace. In order to better serve this marketplace in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest, a presence was established in Victoria, BC in 2016.

Holger Heckel, Principal Consultant

Holger has more than 20 years of consulting experience with a focus on Business Process Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management as well as Operational Excellence. He also has a strong background in Information Technology and Mobility Solutions.

With a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, he immigrated to Canada in 1999. While in charge of Business Process Management projects with Allianz Life Insurance in his native Germany, he expanded his consulting expertise with Fujitsu Consulting Canada into Operations Management and Operational Excellence.

Certified by Porsche Consulting as a Continuous Improvement Coach in Production and Logistics, he actively pursues joint business development activities in Canada’s Oil & Gas Industry as well as North America’s Aerospace Supply Chain.

In addition to working as an independent consultant, he also holds the position of an Associate Trainer and Senior Consultant for AirBusiness Academy, part of Airbus Group. He is involved in Delivery and Business Development of Supply Chain Improvement Initiatives, including the award-winning “Be an Airbus Supplier” program.

He is known for his proactive and hands-on approach, deeply committed to delivering added value and always improving his client companies’ condition, namely revenue and profits.
